Core Equity: A Traditional, Diversified Equity Strategy
SSI's Core Equity Strategy is a traditional, active equity strategy that seeks to produce excess returns above the S&P 500 with similar risk. The strategy's investment process combines quantitative and fundamental analysis to identify and select the best long portfolio candidates. The portfolio team purchases approximately 70-100 equity positions, which are managed and monitored by sector analysts. SSI's portfolios are widely diversified amongst large- and mid-cap companies that exhibit strong growth and value characteristics.
